Our story is 120 years long, beginning with our parents who shaped our lives, and then extending to the year 2020 when I am 85 and Sally is 84. We have chosen three persistent themes - God, Family and Career - about which to write because they individually and collectively reveal the essence of our lives. Then, in each era of our lives, we point out the key principles or insights we are engaging. Why? Because it is easier for you to move whatever you find meritorious from our life to yours if you apply the principle, rather than the detailed story imbedded within our backgrounds, which may differ from yours. We pray for you to learn the high side - getting closer to the principle as God designed it.I am honored that you would consider reading my book. Time is precious, books are plentiful and social media is enticing. However, I dare to encourage you to read on, because the stories that I share can impact your life. Every word I’ve written, and every experience I share, is presented such that you can use it as an addendum to your life story. You do not have to live like Sally or me; such would be an absurd imposition. Our intent is to be helpful, whomsoever you are and howsoever you are living.
